Why did you choose hospitality as your choice of career?
Do you know the difference between a job and the career? If you haven’t found out, it is the right time to do so. You may explain the term “career” and its significance. You may then point out as to how you developed keen interest in, say, cooking, beverages, hotel work environment etc.
Elucidate various similarities between your choice and the job in perspective. You may also co-relate any or one of your hobbies which has led to your choice of a manager or a chef.
If you are a passionate, disciplined, innovative, future oriented person and have long term goals, this should be a cake walk for you.
For example –
I believe that a career is made on certain long term goals and keeping in mind one’s strengths. My strengths are in the field of making public relation and socializing with the people. So, I always wanted to work in the field of hospitality which would give me the right platform for me to develop as a professional. I know I can be an asset for your organization and would definitely contribute to its success.
